Fayose escapes gunmen attack

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, narrowly evaded an attempt to kidnap him in Gbongan town, which is located in Osun State.

On Monday, Fayose shared pictures of a damaged vehicle on his well-known Facebook page.

In the posts, he claimed that “many (people) were kidnapped” and that the kidnappers are on their way to Lagos State.

He also stated that he would not vote for Bola Tinubu (All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential candidate) or Atiku Abubakar (Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Presidential Candidate) in the upcoming presidential election in 2023 because of the worsening insecurity in Nigeria.

He accused both men of aiding President Muhammadu Buhari in gaining power (in 2015).

There is a lack of clarity regarding the specifics of the alleged attack at this time.

“I praise God for the gift of life!!! There was no loss of life…. Many people were taken captive.

“The kidnappers who operate in the Gbogan area of Oyo state are making their way to Lagos.

“Because of this, I will not vote for Tinubu or Atiku. According to what Fayose wrote, “they changed Goodluck (Jonathan) to Buhari.

In the meantime, the Police Spokesperson in Osun State, Yemisi Opalola, could not be reached for comment on the alleged attack.
