Delta PDP NASS members, LG chairmen, 500 councillors’ll defect to APC – Gov Oborevwori

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori says mass defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress in Delta State is imminent.
Oborevwori said already, all National Assembly members from Delta State have agreed to defect to the APC.
He also disclosed that all structures of the PDP in the state will defect to the APC soon.
The Governor, who spoke in Asaba, Delta State, disclosed that all state executives, advisers, council chairmen, 500 councillors, ward chairmen and local government party chairmen will defect in the next few days.
He said, “All of our members in the National Assembly, at the next resumption, they have agreed to defect on the floor of the House. Mr Speaker is here, heaven will not fall.
“There is nothing wrong, it is normal. I was a lawmaker, a presiding officer, we have a lot of problems, we have reasoned and have justification to move.
“The state excos, the advisers, the council chairmen, they are all moving. We have 500 councillors, they are all moving. All the ward chairmen are all moving. The local government party chairmen are all moving.”
Last week, Oborevwori, alongside his predecessor, Ifeanyi Okowa and others, dumped the PDP for the APC. On Monday, they officially joined the ruling party.
