Customs intercepts smuggled Items worth N139million in the North Central

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Joint Border Patrol Team says it has seized 107 smuggled items with a duty paid value of N139.7million.
The Coordinator of the Joint Border Patrol Team Sector 3 for North Central, Comptroller Olugboyega Peters, stated this while showcasing the achievements of the team in Ilorin the Kwara state Capital.
He said the team has also intercepted three illegal immigrants between the ages of 16 and 18 years around Babanna axis being trafficked to Burkina-Faso.
Peters explained that during the period the team has seized 3,068 kegs of 25 liters of petrol,16 used vehicles ,550 bags of foreign parboiled rice, and 44 bales of secondhand clothes.
He said other items seized included 16 sacks of secondhand shoes, foreign Tomatoes, as well as five motorcycles.
He warned those using official vehicles to perpetrate evil to desist from the act.
