Buhari’ll be remembered as the President who put an end to ASUU’s rascality – Lauretta Onochie

Following the report that the National Industrial Court has ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU) to call off the ongoing strike, Lauretta Onochie, presidential media aide while sharing on her official Facebook page made it known that President Muhammadu Buhari will forever be remembered as the leader who put a permanent stop to the incessant rascality of ASUU.
The National Industrial Court has ordered ASUU to call off the ongoing strike, which has prevented many students across the country from attending classes.
Delivering a ruling on the interlocutory injunction filed by the federal government, Justice Polycarp Hamman restrained the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, from continuing with the industrial action pending the determination of the suit.
ASUU embarked on strike in 14th of February, demanding, among other things, the deployment of UTAS to replace IPPIS, and implementation of the 2009 renegotiated agreement which contains its members’ conditions of service.
Based on this, Onochie noted that the President Buhari will be remembered as the leader who put a permanent stop to the incessant rascality of ASUU, adding that all over the world, members of the academia are known for breakthrough in all endeavors of life through researches, but not in Nigeria.
She alleged that some people will blackmail and hold government, parents, and students to ransom.
