BREAKING: Heavy shooting at Alaba In’ternal market Lagos, bloodbath imminent
Sporadic gunshots is currently going on at the popular Alaba International market at the Trade Fare Complex along the Lagos-Badary expressway.
The cause of the heavy gunshots was not immediately known but an unconfirmed source said Policemen from Area ‘E’ Festac stormed the peaceful market in the early hours of today in dire efforts to conduct secret election with a view to imposing unpopular candidates on members of the Balogun Business Association (BBA) of the market.
Sources said the situation may soon degenerate into bloodbath as aggrieved faction of BBA was said to be bracing up to challenging the Police action which they described as partial.
As of the time of this report, traders were said to be scampering to safety where factional group was spotted in clusters bracing up to challenging the heavy presence of the Police which they said acted on the express order from the Zone 2 Command Headquarters.
