There are heavy gunshots going on in Ogba area of Lagos which started since the morning hours of today, Friday, May 7, 2021.
Unconfirmed sources told News Express that already two commercial motorcycle (Okada) riders have allegedly been killed by policemen from the Ogba Area Command of Lagos State, leaving residents in panic.
According to the sources, the policemen allegedly opened fire on the riders when they resisted attempts by the taskforce to extort money from them (Okada riders).
The riders have now reacted violently to revenge the death of their colleagues.
Gunshots were still being heard as at the time of filing this report shortly before noon.
Efforts made to get the Area Command to confirm the story proved abortive as the commander’s phone was unreachable.
