Atiku fires back at Wike, says he’s playing politics with his T-Pain collaborators over Nigerians’ suffering 

The media team of Atiku Abubakar has hit back at Nyesom Wike, accusing the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory of using baseless theatrics to distract Nigerians from the real challenges facing the nation.

 

In a fiery statement signed by Atiku’s Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, Wike’s recent outbursts were slammed as nothing more than political grandstanding rooted in personal vendettas.

 

Wike, who lost to Atiku in the 2022 PDP presidential primaries, has been accused of harboring lingering bitterness, with his latest remarks seen as attempts to relive the defeat rather than focus on his responsibilities in office. “Wike’s comments are driven by his personal grievances, not the welfare of Nigerians,” the statement read.

 

Atiku’s camp questioned Wike’s priorities, suggesting that his focus is more on stirring up drama in Rivers State than addressing the national issues that matter. The team slammed Wike for being “out of touch” with the suffering of Nigerians, noting that his actions reveal a selfish agenda.

 

“While Wike is busy playing politics, we remain committed to the real issues affecting the people,” the statement continued, stressing that Atiku’s focus is on solutions to Nigeria’s problems rather than indulging in political mudslinging.

 

The blistering response comes after Wike’s televised tirades against Atiku and other political opponents, with Atiku’s camp making it clear they won’t be dragged into “the gutter” of personal attacks. Instead, they promised to maintain their focus on the genuine concerns of Nigerians, particularly in the face of economic hardships and governance failures.
