Access Holdings Plc has officially confirmed the tragic passing of its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Herbert Wigwe, and his family in a helicopter accident in the United States.
This announcement was made via a statement released on Sunday, signed by the company’s company secretary, Sunday Ekwochi.
The firm expressed deep and heartfelt sympathies to Wigwe’s family and loved ones, acknowledging his pivotal role as a driving force and larger-than-life personality within the organization.
Wigwe’s passion, energy, and extensive experience have significantly contributed to the company’s transformation since he joined the bank in 2002.
In accordance with company policy, the Board of Directors will soon appoint an acting group Chief Executive Officer. The statement conveyed confidence that the Access Group will continue to build upon Wigwe’s legacy of growth and operational excellence.
